REGIONAL DESIGNATION

When the Willamette Valley AVA was officially authorized in 1984, the geographic description covered approximately 3.3 million acres. The region is home to over 300 wineries that actively produce a variety of offerings with a special emphasis upon Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris.

Situated less than 20 miles west of Corvallis, Cardwell Hill Cellars is a part of the south Willamette Valley. The winery and vineyards are all located in Benton County, near Wren, just five miles northwest of Philomath, a rustic town  founded along the Marys River, which flows from the tallest mountain peak in the Coast Range.
